And do not forget...
Mercurial Rage will celebrate its self-titled second album with a release party on Saturday, June 7, at the Fine Line Music Cafe (318 First Ave. N, Minneapolis).
The Minneapolis-based band latest release comes on the heels of its critically acclaimed The Funeral Sessions, which debuted last June.
Mercurial Rage includes two remixes from The Funeral Sessions and four original tracks with lyrics written by Chris Hill.
"The new record is a benchmark for the bands creative process," Christopher Church said. "These are songs we had been working on in the months prior to putting out our last record. As soon as the last record dropped we wasted no time in getting into the studio to do this follow up."
"Mercurial Rage has always had the melancholy dance element, Michael Di'Greggario added. "But this release adds a dash of pure rock and soul to the mix to give us a distinct voice that I believe we have been aspiring toward."
Mercurial Rage, which hit the local music scene three years ago, consists of lead vocalist Michael Di'Greggario, bassist Christopher Church (former member of Lunar 9 and Medication), keyboardist Brock Landers and guitarist Butch McQueen (former member of The TV Sound and Medication).
The band recently signed with MPLS Ltd., a Minneapolis-based record label that includes musical acts First Communion Afterparty, Basement Apartment and The Flavor Crystals.
Mercurial Rage was recorded at Flowers Studios, produced and engineered by Ed Ackerson (Polara, 27 Various, The Dig, Sideways).
